Imeru Cameron (a.k.a. Stickyman Stackhouse) born in Bronx, New York on February 1, 1980. At a young age he moved to Miami, Florida to stay with his parents. At the age of eight he began to notice the hip hop culture and as he moved on at the age of twelve he began to fall in love with it. Later he then decided this is what he wanted to do.
Growing up in a household of eleven kids in Carol City, Florida, he was inspired by the music his mother and father would play. Coming from an Island background his mother from Barbados and his father from Jamaica, he was forced to listen to old school soul and reggae. Aretha Franklin, Isaac Hayes, Marvin Gay, Patti Labelle, Temptations,The Beatles, Bob Marley, Luciana, Beres Hammond, Augustus Pablo, and plenty more.
Imeru's passion for music began to expand in the early 90’s; musically influenced by artists like the Notorious B.I.G., 2pac, Snoop Dog, Bone Thugs n Harmony, also down south artists like, Eightball and MJG, Outcast, Goodie Mob and more. Stackhouse's rap style is more complex and significantly more extraordinary than the usual music coming from out the south. It's not just because of his lyrics but also because of his struggle. His life experiences and trials and tribulations of what he has been through has matured him and most of all what he stands for today. To make it through the obstacles life has to offer Imeru, he considers himself Blessed.
Stackhouse started to record at the age of 16. Later he formed a label with his brother partly joining in a company called (Stack Independent Inc). Stackhouse's cultural background and diversity allows him to take his music at different angles but more poetically street. Accomplishments: Local venues such as Coco’s, Roman Pub, Tuckers, Sobes, 90 degrees, Nocturnal, Metropolis, and etc.
